Fishers of Men

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal live. John 3:16 (NIV)

When the football season finally rolls around, people everywhere get excited about tailgate parties. Everyone has their group of friends that get together each year. They bring out the grill and bring out the cold beers. It's a great time for all involved. What also seems to be consistent at these tailgates is the same old food every year. If you are looking to spice things up and bring in some fresh, new tailgate food ideas, we've got what you're looking for.

Sausage and Tortillas

Hot dogs are pretty common at tailgate parties. Sausage and tortillas is kind of like hot dogs with a little twist. What you need is your favorite sausage meat. There are a ton of different kinds that you can find. There are different smoke flavors. Some have jalapenos or cheese inside. Just pick whatever works for you.

The sausage needs to be cooked up fresh on the grill so you can serve it hot. Throw the tortillas on the grill for a bit to warm them up and give them a little bit of a crisp. A little bit of butter on the tortillas will also add some flavor. Once this is all done, just throw the link on the tortilla and wrap it up. Then it's ready to be served and enjoyed.

This is a great idea that'll be new to most tailgates and it's really cheap and easy to make. Give it a shot and see how the group responds.

Spinach Bacon Dip

A great dip can really top off a tailgate menu. One great dip is spinach bacon dip. The ingredients that you need are:

- Block of Velveeta cheese or substitute (16oz)
- Chopped spinach (10oz)
- Cream cheese (4oz)
- Rotel or substitute salsa(10oz)
- Crumbled bacon (8 slices)

To make the dip, just throw all of these ingredients together and microwave on high for about 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Then just stir it up and serve.

If you are looking for ways to keep your yearly tailgate fresh, a great place to start is making exciting, new foods for you and your friends to enjoy.
