Salsa is one of those easy party dishes that people never make themselves. Why? There is not good answer, because making salsa is one of the easiest dips to make, as well as one of the most flexible. Experimenting with salsa only produces more varieties and more fun. Most salsas do not require any cooking so the clean up is quick, and making it even quicker. The only down side is that there is never seems to enough for everyone!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one
and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal live. John 3:16 (NIV) |
Here are three kinds of salsa to try in your own kitchen:
Bocaditos Charred Tomato Mint Salsa Recipe
This is a great recipe, because it combines tons of different ingredients that mess together so well into a great party dip. You will need three plum tomatoes, one slice of onion, a clove of garlic, two Serrano chilies, twelve cilantro leaves, three large mint leaves, a fourth teaspoon cumin seed, a fourth cup of water, and salt. For this more complicated salsa recipe, you need to toast the tomatoes, onion, garlic, and cumin seeds. Other than that, you need to chop everything up, not too finely, but to a dip consistency. Put the ingredients into a food processor and let this mixture sit in the refrigerator for two days.
Fiery Salsa Recipe
This is an extra spicy recipe, so beware. You will need a large onion, eight tomatoes, cilantro, ten jalapeno peppers, a lime, one lemon, two tablespoons of vinegar, a teaspoon of salt, pepper, garlic salt, and oregano. Chop and dice all of the ingredients and mix well. Leave this salsa in the refrigerator over night and sever cold.
Pickled Ginger Salsa Recipe
Yes, this sounds like an interesting salsa, and it truly is. You need nine bell peppers, three red, six green. You also need two onions, a cup of water, six Anaheim green chilies, a cup of white wine vinegar, a fourth cup of ginger root, a half cup of sugar, a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of ground allspice. Mix ingredients together and make sure to put the leftovers in the refrigerator, because it will not keep.
